So long, October! With a very busy month coming to an end and an even busier one ahead, we’ve taken a few minutes to reflect on all the fun and exciting things that have been happening over here at Blueclaw HQ!
To start the month off, we welcomed our newest team member Matt Sweeting into the Content and PR team.
Taking on the role of Content and PR Executive, Matt has already proven to be an integral part of the team and is set to be a great addition to #BlueclawFC in the upcoming months.
For his #BlueclawBlog debut, he’s put together some of his favourite (and spooky) Halloween themed PR campaigns which can be found here.
A pretty competitive bunch, we celebrated a successful few weeks and a UK Search Award nomination (in the ultra competitive category “Best Use of Search – Travel/Leisure”) with a night out at TeamSport Go Karting Leeds. We spent the night racing about and watching the speed junkies amongst us channel their inner Lewis Hamilton.
A regular at Blueclaw, these types of social events not only bring us together as a team, but are a great way to celebrate successes, wins, and non-monetary achievements.
Shout out to Alex Gower, Josh Colbeck, and Danny Smith for making it to the podium and picking up a few more trophies for the office cabinet!
As part of our ongoing efforts to raise awareness and money for these fantastic organisations, we were proud to split the proceeds from our Leaders in Travel 2019 event (circa £1000!) between both Mind and Papyrus on World Mental Health Day, 10 October.
A big thank you to the team and to all of our Leaders in Travel delegates for their generous donations to incredibly worthy causes!
To top off a successful month of fundraising, we ended October with a festive (and spooky) bake-off with all proceeds going towards Mind. We had some fantastic entries including dangerous chocolate brownies, mini pumpkin pies, and creepy cakes but the winner was, without a doubt, Danny’s spicy sausage rolls – such a hit!
With over £75 raised for the Mind, it was a thoroughly sugar-fueled and successful day!
With November already here, we’re quite excited to announce some wins, new hires, and future plans for Blueclaw.
