How exciting it is to announce that our team has grown, once again! Today we welcome four (!!!) new starters to our ranks – Vignesh, James, AJ and Simon!
While we’re still juggling a mix of working from home and office life, we’re excited to get to know each one of our new additions and can’t wait to show them a real Blueclaw welcome as soon as possible! But for now, here’s a bit about our new starters and what they’ll be bringing to the table!
Vignesh joins Blueclaw as our Senior Data Analyst after a year at Skybet and consulting for a number of Football teams, including Everton FC!
He describes himself as a passionate and enthusiastic data wrangler that loves all things data! As we’re in the best part of the 21 century where “Data is the new Oil”, Vignesh has spent over half a decade in data focussed roles across the retail, banking and betting industries. His biggest asset is understanding the need of a stakeholder/client in order to create and deliver true value which results in maximum satisfaction!
Vignesh is keen on keeping active and enjoys biking, football, playing basketball (a future Michael Jordan!), and has recently learned to shuffle – a skill he’s keen to show off in the office!
Most importantly, Vignesh believes in constantly learning from his peers and helping others develop. He’s looking forward to working with the Blueclaw team to improve existing solutions and develop ideas that will help grow the business from a data perspective. Additionally, he hopes to add to the organization’s existing data capabilities and concurrently add value using best data analytics practices because:
“In God we trust, everyone else must bring data”
Bringing with him 10 years of search experience from his former agency Edit, AJ (or Andrew more formally) is set to be our go to for delivering a variety of projects on time and within budget.
With strong organisation skills and a proven ability to handle multiple projects, he is never happier than when working with big named clients delivering quality work he and the agency can be proud of.
Whilst not working, AJ likes to explore new places and being a big foodie, try out as many local delicacies as possible wherever he ends up. In his spare time he is an avid video-gamer and loves achievement hunting on his Xbox.
With 3 years of experience, Simon joins us from Epiphany Search as our Digital Designer.
Simon has a great amount of enthusiasm for design and enjoys being able to creatively translate ideas into reality. He hopes to provide the Blueclaw team with solid insight into UI and UX fundamentals and is looking to push himself out of his comfort zone in terms of design. Additionally, Simon is aiming to grow with the company and is keen to get involved with creating exciting projects that generate a buzz!
On a personal note, Simon enjoys checking out local independents such as cinemas, coffee shops and finding the newest vegan eats! Simon also completed the Leeds Half Marathon in 2019 and is aiming to do a full marathon in 2021!
Our new Head of Performance, James, joins us from eCom gift company Getting Personal. Boasting nearly a decade of experience working in Digital, James also spent 3 years at BBC Sport and prior to that, has worked across most verticals including Travel, Automotive, iGaming, Sports Betting, and eCommerce. Safe to say he’s been around the block once or twice!
James is passionate about getting results and believes that deploying an optimum channel mix will do just that! He’s hoping to bring some fresh perspectives to Blueclaw, and add as much value as he can for each and every client.
Personally, James is a keen runner and enthusiastic parkrunner. He’s currently the Event Director for Alexandra Parkrun in Manchester which he loves (and can’t wait to get back to post Covid). Blueclaw running club, coming soon!
