After months of planning and hard work, the day had finally arrived, Blueclaw’s big move to The Calls.

We first found out about the move in May and we were all instantly excited. Our old home had served us well, however it was clear that our fast growing company required more space and a better location. The Calls offered this, a perfect location, at the heart of both the city centre and the Leeds digital scene with a great view over the canal and a lot more room.

The day finally arrived where we needed to pack up the office and start the move. Computers were shut down, tables were dismantled and everything was packed away. A production line was formed as piece by piece, the old Blueclaw office was moved down the stairs onto Whitehouse Street.

With the removal van full to the brim, half of the team proceeded onto The Calls to move the furniture up to floor 2 and reassemble inside Blueclaw’s new home, the other half stayed to continue the unarguably more difficult task of moving the old equipment downstairs (guess where I ended up!).

With just enough time for one last lunch trip to Crown Point, those at the old office moved the final items down the stairs, into the removal van and proceeded onwards to the new office. As we left one final time, nothing remained. Well, apart from John Ward, our Head of Business Development, who is there to man the phones until our new office ones are connected tomorrow.

Meanwhile, preparations inside the new office were coming to an end with the tables in place, ready for the arrival of the computers. And when they and the rest of the team arrived, desktops were set up ready for the next day.

And so, after a busy day of packing and unpacking, the Blueclaw staff went home for a well-earned rest, ready to return to The Calls to start on what is sure to be an exciting new era for the ever expanding Blueclaw.
