As excitement levels in Great Britain rise another gear, I shall be giving a low down of my top 10 favourite participants in the 2012 London Olympics.

With the Olympics starting on 27th July and finishing on the 12th August, it will be fascinating to see how many followers each of the ten participants can generate while they are competing.

10. Jessica Ennis

Just making the top ten, Jessica is a track and field specialist, in which she will be competing in the Heptathlon. Jessica is one of the favourites to achieve gold in this summers London Olympics.

Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki is tipped to reach the womens finals at the 2012 Olympics in London after only reaching the 3rd round in 2008.

Hope Solo is an American Goalkeeper playing club football for Seattle Sounders Women. Since her international debut in 2000, she has made over 119 appearances.

Novak Djokovic is a right handed Serbian Tennis player who won bronze at the Beijing games in 2008. Novak is currently ranked 2nd in the world and has 30 titles to his name.
