Another month means another social, but this time the Design & Development team got to choose and that really only meant one thing - drinking beer and eating pizza!
Oh, and also solving a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints and strategy - all while scaring the bejeezus out of each other at The Great Escape Game!
I’ll hold my hands up and admit I could have done more research into which rooms to choose before booking, as the ‘Abducted’ room left a third of the agency physically and emotionally shaken. That was my bad.
In my defence, I also had to choose which pizzas to order and somehow that seemed to take precedence at the time. The empty plates proved I definitely got that one right.
It wasn’t all scary though!
Some of us ventured into the ‘Underworld Conspiracy’, taking on roles such as the Archaeologist and the Explorer (living out unfulfilled childhood ambitions of an Indiana Jones-esque nature).
Others went all medieval in order to escape Merlin’s magic, in ‘King Arthur’s Secret’, which very nearly resulted in our Marketing Director becoming wedged in a fireplace.
Regardless of the room, everyone made it out alive so really all’s well that ends well. Onto the next one - good luck Client Services, top that!
