Twitter’s GIF button has arrived for mobile!

Just weeks after announcing the feature was being tested on some users, it looks like Twitter has rolled it out to most Tweeters.

So now, when a user goes to create a new Tweet from their mobile device, they now have the option to add a GIF to their post. All they have to do is press the icon which is sandwiched in between the photo and poll buttons. This brings up a new screen where the user can search a GIF of their choice or select one from one of the categories listed, which includes the famous ‘Do Not Want’.

The button is likely to become available to the desktop version in the future.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, it’s pronounced “jif”… Steve Wilhite who invented it said so.
